Thankful Every Day!

I truly hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. I was thankful then, and I am thankful now. In fact, I am thankful every single day. It is true that life can bring some challenges, but I am fully persuaded that even during the storms of life, there is still plenty to be thankful for.  I am thankful that I don't look like what I have been through! I am thankful for God's presence in my life; a husband and family that love me; my church family; friends that have stuck by me throughout the years; life; health; strength...the list goes on and on. The fact that people read what I write makes me thankful! "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name (Psalm 100:4 KJV)." Blessings and peace to you!

Speak to the Rock!

God is working on me, with my cooperation. I had been praying a while about the stress and fatigue that I was experiencing. I did not like the effect that both were having on me, and I knew God had the solution to my situation.  The answer to my prayer came as I was reading about Moses in the book of Numbers. This act of disobedience resulted in Moses not being allowed to enter into the land that God had promised.  As I read, I realized the stress and tiredness were greatly related to me taking on God's responsibility: I was frustrated because working harder and longer was n

Wait on the Lord!

Is there something that you have been praying about and it seems like the answer is taking a long time? If so, read on.  What I have found in my Christian journey is God's timing is perfect. When I pray to God with circumstances and situations that need divine intervention, it is a request  for Him to step in. He already knows what is going on: prayer allows me to connect with Him and shows Him that I am humble in knowing I need Him. While I am waiting on the answer to my prayers, I keep doing my part. My part is to be obedient to His Word, be thankful, and worship Him with all my heart. When I follow this pattern, ultimately things work out. And often the results are better than I had hoped for.  Waiting is hard, especially in our "instant" world, but waiting on God's solution builds our spiritual muscles: faith, hope, endurance, peace, trust, etc. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall
