Our grandson graduated from Bowling Green University on Saturday with a Master of Business Administration. My husband and I attended the graduation and were so grateful to see our grandson receive his diploma. There was great excitement in the air because family members could actually attend graduation: COVID is still a challenge; to better protect attendees it was held outdoors.
This graduation was especially poignant for me because I remember when my grandson was a premature baby who hovered between heaven and earth for several days after he was born. After those tenuous days, due to being born eight weeks too soon, there were months of sleepless nights because he was extremely irritable and would cry and scream inconsolably. I would spend nights rocking him, wiping his bright pink face, and praying.
No one would ever look at our grandson now and know that he struggled so much the first six months of his life. He is strong in body, strong in mind, and, most importantly, strong in the Lord. He knows he is called to pastor and is working to prepare himself to walk in his calling. God has a Plan for our grandson.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
Blessings and peace!
